The Albert Lea Public Library has made the health and safety of our library staff, our patrons, and our community a priority. We will continue to follow directions from state and local health officials in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Remember, our digital resources, OverDrive, Hoopla, and TumbleBooks are available 24/7. Don’t have a library card? No problem! Head over to OverDrive and sign up for an instant card for access to ebooks and audiobooks.
How do I return library materials?
All library materials must be returned in the book drop. With guidance from the state, we are holding returned materials for 72 hours before returning them back to circulation. If you cannot return your overdue materials, please call the library to renew your items.
Are you accepting donations?
The library is unable to accept donations at this time.
Can I get a library card?
Yes! You can fill out the application found here and send it to us by email (email@example.com) or mail. We also need a picture of your proof of address (any piece of mail works). If you need a library card application sent to you, please contact us and we will put one in the mail. When the library card is ready, we will mail the card to your residence or we can arrange a time for you to pick it up during our no-contact pickup service.
You may also schedule an express browsing appointment and get a library card at that time.
How do I contact the library?
If you have a question about anything library-related or need a reference question answered, we are still here for you. You may call the library at our main phone number (507) 377-4350, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us via our Facebook page.
If you wish to contact library administration, please call our toll-free number (833) 377-4350.
