About the Program: 

Families with children sign up as a team and record the reading minutes of everyone on the team. Teams have no size limit, so get everyone in the family involved!

For every 60 minutes a team reads, they earn a raffle ticket to be placed in the drawing for the basket of your choice. Teams can record up to 3,000 minutes during the duration of the program.  

Registration: 

Registration for Family Reads is now open. 

We are using Reader Zone to record minutes for Family Reads. If you do not have access to the internet, contact the library and we will get you signed up and record your minutes.

To sign up for Family Reads:

1. Download the Reader Zone app on a smartphone or tablet or go to www.readerzone.com.

2. Click “Sign Up.”

3. Fill out the required information and click submit.

4. Select “I am a Parent.” Add a reader and register using your family name, i.e. Smith Family.

Note: For Family Reads, you will be registering one account or reader for the entire family.

5. Enter the five digit program code: 886be.

6. Your family is now registered. Return to the Reader Zone app or website to record minutes starting on December 18.

Recording Minutes & Earning Tickets: 

To record minutes that family members have read, log in to the Reader Zone app and record your team’s minutes for the day. You are able to record minutes for the current day and the past 10 days. 

Once you have logged 60 minutes, stop by the library to redeem your raffle ticket. Families will place every raffle ticket earned in the basket of their choice. The last day to record minutes and redeem raffle tickets is January 30.
