Early Literacy Programs

Storytime

Join us on Mondays and Tuesdays for Storytime with Miss Patty! Enjoy songs and stories with a familiar face.

Thursdays

at 10:30 a.m.

Join us on Thursday mornings for Music & Movement with Miss Patty! Enjoy singing and dancing to the beats.

STEAM Programs

Science Blast

Tuesdays

at 2 p.m.

Learn all about science with our science experiment videos. Miss Patty will present fun and exciting experiments each week!

Brick Building Challenge

Wednesdays

at 10:30 a.m.

Use your own bricks or request a pack from the library (while supplies last) and tune in each week for a new challenge! Kids are invited to build a creation and send us a picture.

Book Pals 

Grades 5/6/7

Mondays

at 2 p.m.

Kids in Book Pals will be reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis and meeting virtually to discuss the book and participate in activities. Book Pals runs from June 15 to July 13.

Book Pals will take place on Zoom. Registration is required and parents must sign a consent form. Click to register

Grades 3/4

Wednesdays

at 2 p.m.

Kids in grades 3 and 4 will be reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. The meetings will be held virtually and kids will discuss the book and participate in activities. Book Pals runs from June 17 to July 15.

Special Events for the Whole Family 

Family Trivia Nights

Mondays

at 6 p.m.

Grab the whole family and join us for four rounds of trivia every Monday night.

The Jolly Pops

Thursday, July 16

at 2 p.m.

Take a fun ride with the Jolly Pops and their puppet friends at they sing upbeat, original music for the whole family.

Land of 10,000 Tunes

Nate Hance performed “Land of 10,000 Tunes” for the library on June 14. This show is available to watch on demand. Follow this link to view.

RAD Zoo

 Join the RAD (Reptile & Amphibian Discovery) Zoo for a special show just for the Albert Lea Public Library!
