The Albert Lea Public Library is offering a number of technology-related classes & programs this fall in two main areas, digital literacy and 3D printing. The classes can be found on our calendar and require registration as space is limited.
Digital Literacy Classes:
Digital literacy, according to the American Library Association, is the ability to use infromation and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information. Our digital literacy classes focus on a variety of topics to assist patrons. Click on the title of each class to learn more and register. You may also call the library to register.
iPad Basics: Wednesday, September 18, 10 am
Microsoft Word Basics: Wednesday, September 25, 10 am
Computer Basics Part 1 & 2 (must attend both sessions): Wednesday, October 2 & Wednesday, October 9, 10 am
3D Printing Classes:
The library is also offering 3D printing programs to teach patrons about the entire 3d printing process. During each class, attendees will learn the basics of 3D printing and walk through using a software to design their own print that will be printed after the class. Each class has a different object that attendees will learn to create.
